In conjunction with CIPD and Irish Recruiters, this evening course is aimed at both new and experienced recruiters. It gives individuals a core understanding of recruiting via the internet while giving them the base line tools and techniques for direct sourcing strategies utilizing search engines, social networks, mobile devices, job boards and candidate databases.

• The tools you will need to master to become a certified internet recruiter e.g. browsers, search engines, toolbars, social networks, blogs
• What are search engines and what is Boolean searching with clear examples included
• How to flip search and x-ray servers and peel back URLs
• The important anatomy of a URL
• You’ll learn how to use field commands and wild card searches
• What is the deep web and why it is so important for a recruiter
• What is our philosophy on passive candidates and why we thing they increase quality of hire
• How to tailor your search to international recruitment assignments so that you can carefully craft Boolean strings for the European and Asia markets
• What is search engine optimisation and price per click campaigns as well as what are some of the new ad platforms emerging in the market that you should be aware of
• How to do time machine searching, code language searching as well as quick competitive analysis tag sourcing

The course will involve a lot of discussion and will be heavily exercised based. All participants will be expected to interact with each other and the lecturer in the course. There is also a comprehensive guide that associated with the course which will be given out to all participants.
