Diploma in eCommerce

Irish Times Training are delighted have developed this 12 week Diploma in eCommerce in response to the growing demand for eCommerce solutions. This practical programme developed by industry’s leading eCommerce experts will give you the tools and knowledge needed to plan, build, protect, manage & market your online store presence.

This programme is run in association with the Irish Internet Association (IIA).


All modules will be delivered over 12 consecutive Thursday evenings, 6.00pm - 9.30pm.

  • How to build your business plan, set budgets, and manage your KPIs.
  • How to optimise your profitability through appropriate stock, transaction and deals management

 Module 4 - Customer Experience & Online Store Architecture

  • Understanding the customer journey; effective eCommerce website design, creating an engaging user experience, product layout and optimising for online visitor transactions

Module 5 - Transaction & Data Management

  • Creating an efficient & secure check-out process
  • The different methods for accepting payments online
  • Best practice protocols and procedures to ensure you are keeping customer data secure

 Module 6 - Develop & Manage Your Content

  • How to create and present high quality relevant product information
  • Learn to present your content effectively; copy, images and/or video

 Modules 7-10 - Driving Customer Traffic

How do you ensure that you attract your target customers to your website? These modules will look at effective use digital marketing tools and techniques to drive quality traffic to your website (Social Media Marketing, SEO, PPC and Google Shopping Ads, Email, Location Based Advertising, Affiliate and Native Advertising) and how to use Deals Management to its best advantage (Groupon, Livingsocial etc.) with a focus on customer segmentation & personalisation throughout. You will also look at how to re-target customers who have abandoned their baskets before completing their purchase and others who have visited your website, how to build a quality email database, generate & develop leads.

Who Should Attend?

The Diploma in eCommerce is designed for start-ups & small business owners who want to implement a new or update their existing eCommerce solution to sell their products or services online.

Irish Times Training & Irish Internet Association Diploma

Participants who attend a minimum of 10 modules will be awarded an Irish Times Training & Irish Internet Association Diploma in eCommerce.
