The SMART Board Corporate Governance Bootcamp

This is an intensive, interactive and high energy 2 day Bootcamp on Corporate Governance which aims to inform participants on the implications of becoming a board member and help you to be able to perform your role as a board member more effectively. It will also focus on the attributes that make a SMART Board.

About the Facilitator

David W. Duffy, FCA is the founding director of Prospectus Management Consultants, established in 1991. A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree, he also holds a MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

David has extensive experience in advising on many aspects of corporate governance in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He has reviewed the performance of over 60 Boards. He is a former board member of Ireland Funds, a global Irish philanthropic organisation, a council member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce and a former President of both the institute of Management Consultants and Advisors and the Trinity Business Alumni.

David has also been chair or a non-executive director of a number of commercial, trade, voluntary and sporting organisations. His publications include – “A Practical Guide to Corporate Governance” published by Chartered Accountants Ireland, “The Chair Person’s guide – Practical guidelines for Leaders” and “A Practical guide to being an Effective Director” to be published by Chartered Accountants Ireland later this year.
