Train the Trainer

About the course

The purpose of the Training Delivery & Evaluation Award (Train the Trainer) is to provide individuals with the skills, knowledge, competence and confidence to become effective trainers and in turn improve the value of the programmes delivered. This course is relevant for trainers of any topic, whether you are training others on specific skills, or on your company’s products or processes.

At the outset of this programme, you will be introduced to learning theory and traits of Adult Learners in particular. You will explore your role as a Trainer and consider what competencies are needed to make an effective Trainer.

You will then learn how to set clear and realistic learning objectives and how to design, prepare, deliver & evaluate a training programme.

This is an interactive and practical programme, and our facilitator will work with you throughout, to develop confidence and enhanced skills through a series of presentations, discussions, activities, and programme work. You will have the opportunity to complete live skills demonstrations with guidance and feedback from our expert facilitator.

Brilliant – so engaging and provided great opportunities for us to practice what we have learnt.”

Very comprehensive course touching on the psychological and physical essentials for trainer and learner alike.

Everything I had hoped for in terms of delivering training. But beyond that it has also given my personal confidence a big boost.

The course was everything I had hoped and more... The tutor was excellent and allowed the dynamics within the group to flourish while getting through the material. I would highly recommend anyone with any interest in training to complete this course in Irish Times Training.
