Equestrian Management and the Dublin Horse Show 2022

We are delighted to announce that Irish Times Training will be an exhibitor at the 2022 Dublin Horse Show (August 17-21), in association with the Gill Equestrian Centre.

The team will be on hand in Simmonscourt to tell visitors about a unique up-skilling opportunity for anyone who wants to work in a professional equestrian environment and master the skills needed to manage an equine business.

The QQI Level 6 Equestrian Stable Manager Traineeship will support students in acquiring the knowledge, skills and managerial competence to work in a supervisory role within the Equine Industry. This full-time, FREE 52-week programme, is offered by Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board, Ballina in association with Gill's Equestrian Centre in Ballina.

Candidates with this qualification are in high demand in Ireland, all over Europe and the USA.

Students will gain extensive knowledge of horses and their care & modules include Sport Horse Riding, Stable and Yard Supervision, Equine Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, Horse Conformation & Evaluation.

HGV Driving is also included - a HGV driving license is a must for Stable Managers who are required to transport horses to events.

This course is provided free of charge through Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board, Ballina. You do not need to be in receipt of a social welfare payment to attend this course. If you are in receipt of a social welfare payment when the course commences, you may be entitled to a training allowance while attending.
