MAY 2nd: The Power of Team Communication - Speaker, Neil Curran
We're all familiar with research that tells us that strong communication skills are the key skill teams require to be most effective with the strongest relationships. However, what does strong communication look like? In this talk Neil will look in practical terms at what contributes to an effective team, and how we can engage in Conscious Communication to build strong bonds with our colleagues, be more assertive communicators and minimise the pitfalls associated with poor communication in team settings. Neil is a member of the Irish Times Training faculty and, among other communication-related topics, he teaches improvisation skills (improv) to individuals, teams and organisations: from an academic perspective, Neil likes to think that Improv is his Pedagogy.
